Chunky Heel Trend

I've always been a huge fan of platform statement shoes to gain myself some extra height,  but my obsession has to be my wedges which is all I ever seem to wear..
And when my most favourite pair everrrr broke (resulted by a drunken night out,and my boyf) my world shattered!
But on the travels to NYC I amazingly found them reformed in leather, and without question they were bought within seconds!
Wedges are not just the most comfortable heels in the world, but they are forever hitting back at the trend scene and refuse to leave us.

My love for statement platform heels was recently questioned when the new trend for Spring/Summer 2011 hit presenting chunky heels. Which to me is a wedge but with the middle bit missing don't you think?

But I have to say, after setting my sights on these babies, I have came to agree with this trend. So no need to panic if wedges suddenly are unseen on the front pages, these will step in to save your feet.
No need to suffer for fashion with this trend!

On my usual night in, I find myself on a blog to blog mission and after having this post in my head for today I came across intriguemenow.blogspot.com and fell in love with the heels posted up. Even so I went on a hunt to find them for myself, and successful found them on ASOS.com. RESULT!

M.A.C Cosmetics

Again another assignment related post.. for my current module for P.R we have been asked to produce and create our own Public Relations company. Creating our own logo, tagline, mission statement and client list.
I have named my company 'MATCHBOX' specialising in Fashion Events, Model Agencies and Beauty Cosmetics. With that we than have to choose a specific client, and if you have not already guessed I have chosen to go with M.A.C.
Already a big fan of M.A.C myself, this is just an excuse to delve further into the company.
(which I have already used as an example of a brand for my previous branding essay in Semester 1)
Once we have chosen our Product/Service and have deeply researched everything from products, lines, campaigns, events, interviews and quotes said regarding them; we have finally been asked to ourselves create a new line/range of products.
In my case a new line of M.A.C makeup, for example their newest 'WonderWoman' Collection
I have yet to come up with my new range, for M.A.C with my fictional company.
I will keep you updated.. promise
If you do have any suggestions for a range, or what you feel is missing from M.A.C please leave a comment.. or just generally any opinions or useful information you would like to put forward to help me
Much appreciated x

Lady Gaga to model in Mugler runway show

While driving to uni today, the radio announced Gaga to walk a runway!
This I had to google. My findings:

The takeover of Thierry Mugler's runway presentations by Lady Gaga and her stylist Nicola Formichetti has come full circle with Gaga confirming via Twitter that she will walk in the show on March 2 at 9:30pm CET.
The tweet reads: "I'm making my debut as a runway model, walking in the MUGLER PARIS FASHIONSHOW 3/2. I directed the show music, previewing Government Hooker," with "previewing" meaning that the singer will premiere a never-heard-before track during the show.

Keeping Up With The Kardashians

I am seriously addicted to all things Kardashian!
NEED to get my hands on this book

On my travels to NYC I obviously had to set my eyes on the Dash store
Even a huge que outside, just to look inside did not stop me.
Coming from the UK, we British are abit behind on the live stream and channel E! had only just shown the first episode of Kourtney and Kim take New York, so I was very intrigued to what the Dash store was going to be like.. happy to know when I got home to continue with the series I could say to myself "Ohhhhhh I have been there!"
Inside I found myself at the till side, reading the Kardashian Konfidential propped up on the side to view as unfortunately I could not afford anything else as it was my last day in the big apple and all my dollars were spent elsewhere.
Of course the 'Dash Dolls' were gorgeous girls, portraying the Kardashian standards and the garments surrounding were everything you could see the sisters wearing. The store really was all over Kardashian. I was well satisfied.

PLAN FOR NEXT SNAPINDEX POST: NYC
